Throughout the 20 years Dennis has worked at AFSI, he has held multiple roles: Manufacturing Engineer, New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Product Engineer, Project Manager, and Pleat Spacer Operator (in training).
In his current role as Project Manager, Dennis works with the Caterpillar Filter Team on new filters for Caterpillar engines. He also works on changes and improvements to our existing filters. Both require lots of filter validation and testing – so you might see Dennis out on the floor running trials and coordinating the testing. His favorite part of his job is the new design work. Coming up with new ideas and making prototypes is fun. He enjoys the hands-on part of his work. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get to do that as much as he would like. He likes working with great people and making a premium product that CAT customers need.
The professional accomplishment/project that Dennis is most proud of is being a part of the Next Gen design. The best piece of advice someone has given to Dennis is to listen more than you talk. When he’s not working, Dennis enjoys golf, pickleball, hunting and fishing.
