Tay has worked at AFSI for 2 years, starting out as a Shift Supervisor and has since advanced into his current role as Production Manager. Tay oversees production performance over the 24-hour period and coordinates the necessary support for any underperforming areas, whether related to output or scrap issues. He also collaborates with the Supply Chain team to plan and execute the production schedule. Additionally, Tay is responsible for ensuring that preventive maintenance (PMs) are completed on time by the production team. These responsibilities represent a portion of his daily activities.
Tay’s favorite part of his job is working to identify and remove roadblocks that may hinder the production team’s ability to effectively perform their daily tasks. He values the overall work environment at AFSI and believes the company has a strong and diverse team that works well together. Tay is very proud of progressing within the organization and earning the opportunity to serve as a Production Manager.
In Tay’s free time, he enjoys riding his Harley-Davidson. He has two key pieces of advice: First, if you don’t ask the question, the answer will always be no. Second, while success and failure are both part of the journey, giving up is never an option.
